Todd Hedrick is the Director of Leasing and Property Management for The MacNaughton Group. In addition to assisting with the development of new projects, Mr. Hedrick focuses on existing developments to ensure that each project fulfills its commitments to the investors, tenants and the community in which they serve.
Mr. Hedrick joined The MacNaughton Group in 2004. During his short tenure with the firm, Mr. Hedrick has overseen the development of three new retail developments. His attention to detail and experience allowed The MacNaughton Group to achieve 100% lease commitment ahead of schedule. He remains involved with each project throughout development and assists tenants in the construction coordination to ensure that they open on time with the least amount of problems. He negotiates the third party management contracts and works closely with the property managers to ensure that the operating budgets are created and the necessary services to the property are established and allocated correctly. Since joining the firm, Mr. Hedrick has negotiated and executed more than 100 short term and long term leases with local and national tenants of various sizes.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hedrick worked with Colliers Monroe Friedlander where he was the founder of the Shopping Centers Division. During his tenure with Colliers, Mr. Hedrick oversaw the leasing and management of Power Centers, Resort Centers and Neighborhood Centers totaling in excess of 1.5 million square feet of GLA for local and institutional owners. The Shopping Center Division allowed Mr. Hedrick to improve the services of third party management by applying a cohesive approach to leasing and management.
Mr. Hedrick was the General Manager of Aloha Tower Marketplace prior to joining Colliers. While in charge of the management and leasing of this 160,000 square foot Festival Marketplace, Mr. Hedrick decreased Common Area Maintenance expenses four years in a row and increased the occupancy from 68% to 95%.
Mr. Hedrick holds a Real Estate Broker's license in the State of Hawaii, and has been certified as a Shopping Center Manager and Leasing Specialist by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Entrepreneurial Studies from Hawaii Pacific University and retired from the U.S. Navy as a Deep Sea Diver after 20 years of Active and Reserve duty. Mr. Hedrick has been in Hawaii since 1984.
